#PactoPorLaLectura: A Commitment to Reading and Culture

The project #PactoPorLaLectura it is an initiative dedicated to promoting the reading and strengthen the bond between people and literature. This program brings together activities throughout the year that celebrate milestones literary, outstanding authors and iconic characters, fostering a cultural legacy that inspires all generations.

In 2022the focus was on Encounters with the Writer, where well-known authors shared their experiences and thoughts with the public. These spaces for dialogue and learning promoted the writing as a means of expression and approached the readers into the creative process behind literary works.

During 2023, #PactoPorLaLectura commemorated the Anniversary of Asterix and Obelix, iconic characters from the comics franco-belgian. The activities included drawing workshops, exhibits comic and dramatic readings that stressed the importance of comics in literary culture and folk, celebrating its humour and adventurous spirit.

To 2024the project will focus on the Anniversary of Marco Polo, as well as paying tribute to the famous explorer and their fascinating journeys. There will be conferences, book clubs, and thematic exhibitions that invite the public to discover the narrative of travel and the historical richness of his stories.

#PactoPorLaLectura it is much more than a cultural program; it is a space of encounter between literature, history and entertainment. Each activity reaffirms its commitment to promote reading as a habit essential, offering enriching experiences that inspire readers of all ages. With each new edition, the project strengthens its mission to build bridges between the people and the world of letters.
